Close to 50 of the 225 carriages here are from the private collection started in the 1950s by Don Remington. The centre contains a restoration workshop, a theatre, cafeteria, gift shop, tack room and stables. Horse-drawn carriage rides, $4 adults, $2.50 child, $12 family, offered daily May 15 to Sept 14. Museum of Miniatures + My Favorites
Cardston's Museum of Miniatures re-creates Alberta's Wild West down to the minutest of details. The displays encompass all of the most common scenes of the early 20th century, including a pioneer fort, a native village, a growing prairie town, fields of buffalo and a forest full of wild animals. Courthouse Museum & Archives + My Favorites
Depicts the pioneer life of the area including home furnishings, an 1876 square grand piano and a display on the Hutterite way of life. The Court House, a Provincial Historic Site, was built in 1907 of local sandstone. June 1 to Aug 31, open Mon to Sat 10 am - 5 pm; off-season by appointment; admission by donation.
