    Remington Carriage Museum
    Remington Carriage Museum Cardston

    Close to 50 of the 225 carriages here are from the private collection started in the 1950s by Don Remington. The centre contains a restoration workshop, a theatre, cafeteria, gift shop, tack room and stables. Horse-drawn carriage rides, $4 adults, $2.50 child, $12 family, offered daily May 15 to Sept 14. Admission $7.50 adult, $6.50 sen, $4 child, $17 family. Open daily 9 am - 6 pm May 15 to Sept 14; daily 10 am - 5 pm rest of the year.

    Museum of Miniatures
    Come visit pioneers in covered wagons, tour Indian villages and an old western town. Other tableaus feature logging, rodeo, marine exhibits and about 150 excellent scale model cars, along with antiques, animals and shadow boxes all on a 1/12 scale.

    Courthouse Museum & Archives
    Depicts the pioneer life of the area including home furnishings, an 1876 square grand piano and a display on the Hutterite way of life. The Court House, a Provincial Historic Site, was built in 1907 of local sandstone. June 1 to Aug 31, open Mon to Sat 10 am - 5 pm; off-season by appointment; admission by donation.

    Museum of Miniatures
    Cardston's Museum of Miniatures re-creates Alberta's Wild West down to the minutest of details. The displays encompass all of the most common scenes of the early 20th century, including a pioneer fort, a native village, a growing prairie town, fields of buffalo and a forest full of wild animals. Miniatures are handmade by the curator built to the exact scale of 1/12.
